Has anyone ha any experience with this yeast? Made a 1L starter (which smelled pretty funky) using a stir plate and at the right temperature, but am guessing this is the yeast!) and having pitched it Friday evening there is still NO action happening in the FV this morning.

Is this a slow starting yeast? Should I be concerned yet? When should I be concerned?

I've used it a number of times and it can be a bit slow starting, Id give it another day or so. What temperature do you have it at? I pitch in the mi 60s and let it free rise to the mid 70s, usually bump it up to 80 to finish out. (fahrenheit, sorry)

I love that yeast strain! It can be slow to start at lower temps, but it will get rolling. It will give you a mild red plum flavor at those temps. I like to crank up the heat to around 78-80*. TONS of plum flavors then....but, I like plums.;)
