Has anyone used this? I pitched last night at 5pm and just had to put in a blowoff hose because the airlock literally blew off in my face. It’s fermenting at 72 degrees which it said was in the yeasts tolerance range. Has anyone used this before and what’re your experiences?

I believe WLP300 is the Weihenstephan strain, in which case your fermentation is normal. I know it is recommend to have around 30% head space when fermenting with this yeast, or at least is what Wyeast recommends. ( their version is 3068 )

Definitely normal. You don't have a ton of head space and WLP300 produces a lot of krausen, especially at warmer temps.
