Just wanted to share my experience with WL090. I recently made a kind of hybrid CZAR clone extract brew. I've used San Diego super in the past so I gave it a shot again. The alcohol tolerance is just "High" but I haven't been able to find anything specific unless I overlooked it.
*Begin story...
During the week I get super busy with work and I had all the ingredients for the brew ready and didn't have time to make a starter. So we brewed it up and I threw the hydrometer in there. It was some where around 1.10 to 1.13. I didn't really care to be honest I just wanted a big stout to drink later. Pitched two vials of the super thinking that would be good, aerated it, closed it, done.
So I thought... after two days nothing. Zero activity in the air lock. Pop the top off throw the hydrometer in there again and I got a more accurate reading without the foam on top. Right on the dot, 1.12.
I just pitched two more vials in there and shook the bucket around for about 10 minutes thinking maybe I didn't aerate it enough to begin with. I'm really anal about sanitation so I hate popping the lid off and on, thinking about all the **** in the air that's falling in my beer gives me shivers.
Has anyone else had experience with WLP090 at these gravitys?
