WLP001 very "clumpy"

When I opened the last vial of WLP, it was clumpy, but I made a starter anyway. After the starter finished, it was even more so- like cottage cheese.

I've seen this commonly with WLP002, but never before with WLP001. Has anybody else seen this with WLP001?

I've seen this with the washed WLP001 I've been using the last few brews.

I like to grab one of those left over clumps and rub it on my gums after pitching.

I had the same thing with my last batch/vial, it turned out ok.

Got a vial in late January or maybe very early February and noticed the same thing. Used it and harvested from the first batch. Have made two more APA's since with the harvested yeast with good results.
