WLP 530 for a cider?

Have a starter w/ WLP 530 in the fridge. Decided not to use it in one of my brews and its been sittin around for a month. Was wondering if this would work in a cider. Ive seen some of the recipes here and noticed people using dry yeasts but wasnt sure about the liquid yeast. If so, should I make a cider starter? ( Im new to this cider thing )

I've never used that strain of yeast, but why not give it a shot? Regards, GF.
