In light of this winter storm that is suppose to hit western NC and eastern TN, the house will be preparing Imperial IPA #2.

Mashing Right now at 149F

18 lbs 2-Row
2 oz Chocolate Malt
2 oz Roasted Barley

Hop Schedule will be as follows

1 oz Chinook 60 mins
1 oz Williamette 60 mins

1 oz Chinook 10 mins
1 oz Amarillo 10 mins
1 oz Williamette 10 mins

1 oz Chinook 0 mins
1 oz Amarillo 0 mins
1 oz Williamette 0 mins

US-05 dry yeast

1 lb. Corn Sugar will be added at 15 mins

Plan to ferment in low 60's



Dry Hop with 3 oz Cascade leaf for 7 days

If there is time to tweak, I love some magnum or glacier in me IPA's!

P.S. hoping to get hit here too. I'll be doing more of an imperial ESB for the storm.
 
Yeah I had a brew earlier that I used magnum and centennial. We have 20 gallons of beer fermenting after tonights brew is done. And we just bottled possibly the best amber that we have made today. Its been a beer productive day.
 
Hey man. I live in Eastern TN and work in Boone. How the hell are ya? How did the brew go? We should brew sometime.
 
just doing the math in my head but that doesn't look like IIPA territory for that amount of grain. What is your calculated IBUs?

But this is the reason why we homebrew, make what you want, brew on brau :rockin:
