I want 6 gallon of must At 1140 OG to 1150. I know thats very high.

Im using 10 of the welches store bought concentrate cans

How do I determine how much sugar I will need.

I'm having a hard time with this, Because when I add sugar I am adding volume.

If they can get meads to kick off at this high of gravity I can get a wine to kick off, I dont want to sweeten before bottling, I want it to finish sweet. just trying something differant. Making a "Strong one"

I would put it all together and gradually increase the sugar until you are where you want to be. The amount of volume you are adding with the sugar is minimal. Volume is relative anyway. You don't know how much you are going to leave behind during racking.

Do you know what the gravity of the juice/water will be?

A Guess:
1 # of sugar to 1 gallon of water increases the SG by .046.
You want to increase the SG by 0.010.
.010/.046 = 0.2174# sugar needed per gallon
Since you have 6 gallons of must: .2174*6 = 1.3# sugar needed.
Best Wishes

OG 1.140 = 3 lb. 2 oz. sugar per gal approximately
OG 1.150 = 3 lb. 6 oz. sugar per gal.

1 oz. sugar = 28.4 gr. Convert the gr. of sugar in the concentrate to oz.

1 lb. sugar increases the volume by approximately 12 fl oz.

If you remove must to equal the increase in volume from adding the sugar, this will affect the amount of sugar added for the last gallon or two.
