Im new to wine making and I currently have 15 gallons of crushed grape wine kits going right now.

Im looking into getting a filtering system and I figured I would get the canister type since I could use it for wine and beer. Ive read that you used CO2 to push the fine through the filter.

My question is, has anyone ever tried to attach a chugger pump to it and use that to pump the wine through the filter instead of using CO2?

Filters take a lot of pressure. Doesn't a chugger pump have high flow but low pressure?

I use vacuum in the receiving carboy to "pull" my wines through.

You can also check ebay for an aspirator pump to create a vacuum.

I use the All in One Wine Pump as well, by far one of the best investments I've made for both wine and beer.
