was doing an Abby Ale from Listermann's and forgot to add the corn sugar until 15 min into the boil, when it should have went the whole time. It does seem very light in color compared to Beersmiths projections.

Corn sugar will only change the color of your brew if you scorch it. Adding it at the fifteen minute mark will have no effect, save possibly higher hop utilization.

I would think that the effect that this has is based on how long the boil went total. If it was a 60 minute boil, most of your alpha acids will have isomerized in the last 45 minutes, so there will have minuscule affects on the final product.

If you have How To Brew by John Palmer, refer to page 43 How To Brew Chapter 5-1 and take a look at the Bittering section. It says that there is little improvement in isomerization between 45 minutes of boil time and 90 minutes of boil time (About 5%).

If this is a 20 minute boil, however, I'd bet you'd notice a distinct decline in the bitterness of your final product, and you would likely have a noticeable hop flavor and aroma that you wouldn't normally have.
