So, recently brewed a grapefruit IPA. Taking the easy road, I picked up a 2oz package of dried grapefruit peel from the LHBS.
Package said to either toss into flameout or into secondary.

Since the beer was already in primary when I picked up the grapefruit peel, my only option was to throw into the secondary.
Tossed into a mesh bag with my dry hops and left there for about a week.
It is now 2 weeks after packaging and still has a very bitter taste from the grapefruit peel.

Think the harsh bite of the peel will subside a bit and make this a little more drinkable or will I be forced to choke this 5gal batch down?

Hops flavor will subside over time ...

Not sure about other additives.

:( Hopefully it mellows out before you lose all your hoppy goodness.
