I have a Vintner's Reserve Oak Chip Chardonnay in my Primary, and the kit instructions say that I should degas and stabilize at 0.996 SG.
However, I made this 6 gallon kit as a 5 gallon kit (there are 5 gallons of liquid in the Primary). I know, probably not a good idea, but the person walking me through this (my first kit) insisted.
At any rate, will my target SG for stabilizing still be 0.996?
Or will it be different, now that I monkeyed with the instructions?
