I got an Aluminum Stock pot for christmas and I also got Stainless Steel Ball Valve Spigot with Stainless Steel parts to it. Will there be issues with these two items reacting if touching?
It's called electrolysis or galvanic corrosion. It happens when two dissimilar metals contact each other in the presence of an electrolyte (water). One metal acts like a cathode and the other a diode.
That said. Don't worry. It'll take a helluva long time for that to happen. If you're still that worried about it you could use a sacrificial anode like those found in water heaters.
