Simple answer: No.

There is PLENTY of yeast still in solution to properly carbonate your beer, even after cold-crashing.
 
And after using gelatin. Or doing both. Short of filtering or conditioning for many, many months there will still be yeast there to carbonate your beer. Maybe not as fast as you want but it will carbonate.
