Hmm? If the Out dip tube O-ring is damaged or missing from under the flange, that most certainly will allow CO2 in the head space to be injected directly into the beer stream under the post. That's a FAQ.

I got what you’re saying now. I wasn’t thinking about headspace pressure being able to push underneath the flange of the diptube! I’d like the blame lack of coffee but I was definitely 2 cups in by that point lol
