When i first signed up, i got replies to my first thread within 5 minutes. Since then, they have been slower and eventually, i stopped receiving them all together ): I haven't received a single reply to my last four threads. What's up with that?

Currently wondering if ill even receive a reply for this one......

I'm not sure. If I had to guess, it's because that our forum is dedicated to the production of quality fermented beverages and not so much the "hooch" stuff. Hiding things in the closet smacks of prison hooch, or teenagers hiding their hooch from their parents. We are also not fans of drinking crap to give us "a buzz". There are much better forums for people that choose to go the Pruno and/or prison hooch way.

Many of us probably have nothing helpful to add, so the best policy is "if you can't say something nice, then don't say anything at all".

Thanks for your reply, could you recommend me to a forums for pruno/hooch ?

Don't you have google on your computer as well as I do?

Typing something in such as "Pruno forums" doesn't bring up many results. Type in something such as "brewing forums" and you get sites like this. How in the world am i supposed to know which brewing site is suitable for talking about pruno? You apparently know that there are better sites out there for talking about pruno, so how about you refer me to one. :ban:

All the "hooch" talk makes me think you're not of legal drinking age. Big red flag

Just because someone feels like mixing yeast, juice, and sugar, and letting it sit for a few days to experiment does not mean someone is underage. Like why the hell would i waste so much money on a huge set up if i don't even know how the stuff will turn out?
And just because i call the stuff "pruno" or "hooch" does not make it ANY more different from the stuff lots of beginners make when first starting off. All i am using is grape juice, sugar, and a packet of bread yeast. That IS how most simple wines are made, no? So what does it matter what i call it. For your information, the reason i stick to calling it this name is because it was the first name that was introduced to me when i first heard about this subject so i've stuck with it ever since. :ban: so i suppose, you can keep your "big red flag" to yourself haha.

Like why the hell does it matter what name i call it when its basically the same exact concept most everyone does for their first brew? Juice, sugar, yeast. Simple. Who cares if i call it, pruno, hooch, or just plain out wine. Does it make a difference at all on the process i go through to obtain alcohol? Not at all. So i really don't see what the hell the big deal is about me using a different name and less materials on something everyone here does.

And tbh, now that i think of it. I believe that this is EXACTLY the right forum for me and my "hooch" talk. I'm pretty sure i would have gotten plenty replies to my threads if i had just called it "wine" instead of hooch. I like the word hooch, so i'm sticking to it. As well as this forum.
