Why does my mead smell like feet? Can I fix it?

I made 6 gallons of hydromel mead back in March. I opened a bottle to taste. It smells like feet. I tasted it and it tastes fine like a light white wine. Is there any way to fix it?

It was made in March, and you've already bottled? How long ago did you bottle? What was it like when you bottled it? Did you use any antioxidants (campden) or sulfites?

When it smells like feet, is there another description you could use? Musty? Gym socks? Stale? Etc. That might pin down the cause of the aroma. If it tastes good, then it's only in the aroma?
 
I bought a kit, the estimated ferment time was 3 weeks. I followed the instructions to the T. I added Go Ferm, DAP, Potassium Carbonate and Campden that came with the kit as directed. It came with 6lbs of wildflower honey. I've made wine before that has came out beautifully. This was my first time even tasting mead. I was just wondering if it was supposed to smell like that?
I don't know how else to describe the smell. Maybe slightly sulferic. But it tastes fine. Just like the name suggests like honey water.
 
If you hadn't bottled it yet I would recommend splash racking it to degas it. Since it's already bottled I'd probably either uncork, pour back into a sanitized carboy or brewing bucket. Once you have it unbottled take a whisk to it and stir it up for a bit and see if the smell clears up. If that clears up the odor rebottle into recleaned & sanatized bottled.
