Because they have Lucas refrigerators, of course! Like this one ...

it's actually a Frigidaire that I got off Craigslist for $10. But it really needed to be re-branded, and when I had a leftover Lucas logo from having vinyl cut for my MGB, I couldn't resist the chance ... :mug:

Sadly, it does keep the beer nice and cold. I'm working on that.

to honestly answer the question (for any newbies)...some beer styles are better at warmer temperatures. the flavors and aromas are more pronounced.

the only ICE COLD beer style out there is american light lager...because it doesn't really have any flavor or aroma to start with, so you don't mask it by serving at 32F.

My keezer is set to 39F.

Actually, we English like warm Flat beers.
The Flat comes from using SU carbs. :)

I hope you have a drip tray under the fridge to catch the sump oil.:D

SU carbs are awesome! So much easier to get to do what you want than those cheesy Lucas-badged Bosch L-Jetronic things, and they beat a Zenith-Stromberg hollow.

cheers!
