In the wine making forum rather than the cider making forum?

Just something i was curious about
 
There's a fine line between apple wine (apfelwein) and apple cider. Ed's recipe uses wine yeast and finishes as high as 9.5% alcohol with a dry, wine-like flavor. Maybe someone else can define it more clearly.

but then why is it under cider in the recipes database, and why does Edwort refer to it as german hard cider in the recipe then?:p

Sorry buffalo I would definitely disagree, because both cider and applewine can and are made from both what us Americans call cider and juice.
