Just curious about the process, can it be done with whole hops i receive in the mail, convert them to pellets? Pros and cons

take a lb of whole hops and a lb of pellet
now ask yourself how easy it would be to compact them into those tight little pellets.
Of course it's possible. Them pellets started out as whole hops!
it's also possible to compact coal into diamonds. I just wouldn't bother
