I did have lunch with yooper, a few times. Love the wild rice.

Homer you missed seeing my new rig, got an RV and drug my wife's car behind it with the kayaks strapped on top all the way to the UP!

Would love for you to stop down in the Chicago region sometime on your way through Yooper but I know you tend to go hang out with pappers instead of me when you are in the area...

ONCE! I went to visit Pappers once! It's not like I am in Chicago very often, but if I plan to go again I will definitely call you.

We have had some great times, that's for sure!

Just an FYI, the family has been going to Chicago each October to attend a television show convention. I suspect we will continue to do so until the show is canceled (going on 11 seasons now. We've been going to the convention the past 3 years.)

IMO it would be an excellent opportunity to get together and have a little food, some drinks, and lots of laughs. There are times during the convention that I'm pretty bored since I have ZERO interest in getting autographs, pictures, etc. I mostly go to people watch, check out the music (They do have a great band in attendance; Louden Swain.) and to drive the family there and back.

This year Pappers_ and Mrs. Pappers_ graciously took me to a couple of nice breweries. I'd definitely be down to do a meet up again!

Oooookay so only once, I may have been drinking last time I talked to pappers, the house we were at had all this beer on tap and some kids shooting beer through super-soakers or something.

Would love it if you do come through chicago for you to stop in for a day
