Can anyone tell me what this is? It is a one gallon bomber barley wine kit from northern brewer I made in November 2017. All bottles have the same "floaties". The beer doesn't tastes great but i dont think it's infected..I could be wrong but carbonations levels are normal. It was one of my first batches so I suspect they didn't turn out as good as they should have. Even when put in the fridge and poured into a glass they still float on top. They are white and look chunky. Thanks for the help in advance.

Hard to say. Looks like yeast or krausen remnants but could also be from a pellicle (especially since it's white).
Contamination doesn't automatically mean gushing.
I've never seen krausen form in bottles. You didn't use DME to prime, did you?

Whatever it is, it's not harmful as long as the bottles aren't over carbonating.

Use a quality cleaning regimen and sanitation regimen on your equipment.

Cheers & happy brewing!

They were fizz drops. I feel as though when i use fizz drops i get white floating sediment but it doesn't usually look this big. Now I primarily use DME and have since moved to 5 gallon all grain batches and haven't had anything like this happen since. I'm about to brew a couple batches and would like to re use these bottles. Do you think that would be okay?

Yeah. At least visually inspect bottles to make sure there's no residue. Clean glassware is generally easy to sanitize.

You could soak in a cleaner and/or run through the dishwasher with heat dry to remove all doubt if you want.

Cheers

Looks like some oil that has hardened into a waxy substance just judging by the flakey texture. Can you post the recipe? Any adjuncts or unusual additions? Maybe share your recipe? It's either one of the ingredients or some mischievious heinzelmännchen added something to your bottles:)

Thanks! My thoughts exactly.
Cheers!

It's not my personal recipe. I followed the recipe northern brewer gave me in the bomber barley wine extract kit. It's pretty simple.
