Hi All,

First post here however I've read many threads on this site as I've gone through the process of my first home brew.

I plan to bottle an amber ale from an extract kit today after 3.5 weeks in a primary fermenter. I opened the lid this morning and I noticed these white bubbles sitting on top. Is this something to be concerned about?

Looks okay to me. Does it smell off? Have you taken a hydrometer/refractometer reading and tasted the sample?

Honestly it looks like hop particles that haven't settled out. Did you cold crash? If you didn't and can, that may help settle it out. Also, if you are bottling, cold crashing may leave very little yeast in suspension, so allow more time to carbonate.
