Designing my basement bar and a kegerator is a must, but I can't fathom buying a ready made one only to replace faucets, tubing, connectors, etc. This leads me to DIY land and let the fun begin.

As this will be a built in unit I realize this puts me into front vent fridge territory. I found this model http://www.whirlpool.com/-[WUR50X24EM]-5597596/WUR50X24EM/ which at the onset looks promising. I want to get 3 ball lock and the CO2 inside which given similar dimensions of an Other 24" prefab should be doable. That is unless that rear hump is larger than it looks. I haven't been able to find interior dimensions so will have to make cutouts and hit the store.

Anyone used this model or have another model I should look at? Would be nice to replicate someone else's work knowing a drill to the top is problem free for instance. Guidance appreciated.

I bought a built in as well (Avallon) so keep us posted on how this goes.

How are you going to drill into the top? Or are you going through the door?

I will be going through the top through granite with tower on top. When I get closer I'll call their tech support to inquire about hazards when drilling. Seems I need to make cutouts and find one of these to see if 3 and a CO2 will fit.
