I modified a bloated 1/2 barrel keg with outlet at bottom of side wall and inlet 3" and 6" above (either or) with a 90° elbow to direct the flow in order to get the whirlpool going.
I pumped from kettle when I started knock out into whirlpool and gravity fee back into kettle... I had to turn pump on and off as it would fill faster than the return flow could gravity back. Results were not as good as I'd hoped, although i did pull some trub out, by the time I reached 75°F there was still a lot of suspended ...matter.
I'm wondering if the flow rate was too high. Using a March 815-SS
thoughts?
Thanks
