Which pickup for whirlpool?

I'm using THIS brew kettle, with a bazooka inside. Thinking a pickup tube might allow me to get more of the wort, with less sediment in the carboy...I use hops pellets, so current setup is lacking both ways. Which tube...45 DEGREE ANGLE or 90 DEGREE ANGLE might be the way to go?

The whirlpool fitting with a 90 to pickup from the side or you could replace the coupling inside the kettle with one of these to act as a side pickup:
