In a typical 6 gallon fermenting bucket, where is the 6 gallon mark? Is it at one of the "ribs" or is it all the way to the top?

(Ya, I know I can fill it with 1 gallon jugs to find out, but I don't want to waste water)

Thanks.

If you want to be accurate you will have to do the gallon at a time routine. Even the ones with a scale on them are often inaccurate. Use the water for something after making the measure.
