I am on vacation in Orlando. Where is the best brewery/pub to go to near Orlando... looking for a guide, any suggestions?

Hey, there is a lot going on in this city, but there is no way I am letting someone stop me from living my life. If I die tomorrow I die having a great time with my family, that said I have a CWP. Someone told me take the day and go to clear water with the kids, but drop by Cigar City brewery on the way out. Anyone +1 this? Only 1h10m away... could make a day of it, beach, beer, fathers day! F**kin' Livin'

Cigar City would be worth the ride in my opinion. They have a solid tap room and a bunch of selections. They also have "choose your own" samplers, so you can try a bunch without getting drunk for the ride home. They also do a tour which is cool, and you get a few beers while participating. I don't know the rules about kids though on the tour, so you may want to reach out to them to make sure your good to go.

+ 1 for sure. Very well known for there JAI LAI IPA. But if you want a more mello(Less traffic beach spot) think about Playalinda beach on the Atlantic side than hit Playalinda brewery on the way out. If you go to this beach bring a cooler and all the drinks/food you need for the day as there are no stores/restaurants or buildings at all for 12 miles or so. It is just north of the space center.

My brother lives a little west of Orlando in Winter Garden and seems to think pretty highly of Crooked Can. It's probably about 30 minutes from Orlando.

I've only had their Cloud Chaser hefe and don't remember it being too bad. He prefers the McStagger IIPA.

Cigar City is worth the drive all the way, been there a couple of times, always great taps available.

Redlight Redlight is awesome. World of beer is closer to the resorts, has a good selection most of the time.

Not necessarily a brew pub, but a pretty cool 'geek' hangout.Player 1 is a video game bar..They have 36 beers on tap most times ALL craft beer..Yeah, there is a $5 cover charge, but you can come and go all night and all console games are FREE..Open til 2AM...And for some REALLY good food, just up the road is the Orlando Ale House- been there twice and had EXCELLENT service and awesome food..Oh and they have a good beer selection there too...All a stones throw from Disney Springs ;)
