Found an old refrigerator at my buddy's cabin last weekend. We've been bottling our home-brews, but once we found this, we figured we might as well make the jump to legging and convert the fridge into a kegerator. Where's the best/cheapest place to get a conversion kit? Everywhere I look the conversion kits are for sankey kegs. Is it cheapest to buy the parts individually or as a combo?

It really just depends. grabbing parts could be cheaper if you have the time to look for deals and not in a rush to slap it all together. Her is a good place to compare against: birdmanbrewing.com

They are a vendor here. They also have good customer service, they will answer questions. Best of luck! Kegs aren't getting cheaper so keep an eye on craigslist for those too.

Best and cheapest are not necessarily the same thing. I shopped mine around and leaned more toward quality components. Then looked for good deals on them. If you keep your eye good prices are out there, but if you want to keg next week this is probably not a option. There is a guy selling co2 and nitro tanks at really good prices on here someplace ( don't have a link on my iphone).

I bought my parts individually because none of the kits suited by needs. I got the majority of my parts, including my tower, from keg connection, which I think is hard to beat in terms of quality and price.

Thanks everyone for the quick replies!! Keg connection was undoubtedly the best deal I've found so far! One more quick question, is a 4# tank big enough? I can get a 4# tank for $30, and the 5# tank is $60...
