Where to find Pliny the Elder in the Bay area?

I have a friend who is in San Fran for the week and I've asked him to grab me some Pliny to bring back East. Can anyone from the area tell me where a good place is to grab some bottles?

Any other beer recommendations are welcomed!

Plenty of places in the bay should carry it. Where exactly in the bay? There's a shop in the Ferry Building who carries it, on the Embarcadero. Also, Bi-Rite in the mission usually has it.

Depending on where in the bay your buddy is, you could make a few calls to specialty grocers (Whole Foods, Nugget, etc) and see if you can locate it for him.

Finally, I always find it at a few liquor stores in and around napa.

Tip- have him pick you up a few diff Russian River beers, they're all dynamite... Consecration, Blind Pig, and the rest!

Whole Foods gets them, depending on the store they can sell out the day they arrive. You can ask the beer person at the store if they are out when they will get more.

City Beer store on Folsom has Pliny, along with about every other beer you can think of. http://www.citybeerstore.com/
