I hate buying stuff new when I don't have to, I know there are tons of people out there that are trying to sell the same stuff I'm trying to buy at a fraction of the new price. Problem is I can't seem to find a good source of listings for brew gear. Stuff rarely pops up on craigslist in my area any more, no LHBS to speak of, and most people here seem to be as far away from me as possible, not to mention the fact that the For Sale forum here is relatively slow.

Any secret honey holes with large amounts of used brew gear posted for sale anyone wants to share? :mug:

Craigslist, it may not be listed as "brew gear", but you can find large commercial kettles, fridges, freezers. Co2 tanks, kegs, and all sorts of stuff. It takes patience and just buying whats available for the right price rather than "needing" a specific item...

I've gotten killer deals on craigslist over the years. Also, try ebay. I found some perlick faucets for $13 a piece after shipping.

CL is the best bet, but you have to be consistent checking it, because homebrewing has gotten a lot more popular, especially in the college-age range (I'm one of them!). Brewing equipment and kegerator stuff, in particular, has gotten much more expensive over the last few years. I search the NH one every day for the following keywords:

kegerator
keg
keger*
stainless
homebrew*
beer
brewing

The stars are wildcards, which will make your searches a lot more various. I've found some great stuff, just be diligent and patient. I'm still looking for a Sanyo 4912 mini fridge, but I'm not optimistic haha.

Does your area have a local Trader's publication? Here in Columbia there's something called "The Carolina Trader" which is essentially a huge classified section.

Yeah, you're going to have to be patient. In general supply is limited and in demand so there's no easy honey source of cheap/used brewing gear.
