where to buy Mittelfruh?

I've been scouring the net trying to find a few oz of Mittelfruh, and so far have been unsuccessful.

Does anyone have a good online source for Mittelfruh?

Hallertauer Mittelfruh are the same hops as Hallertau Hallertauer. The only difference is when in the harvest cycle they were harvested. Here's a quote from a hop history website that captures it:

"Mittelfruh means "middle-early" and has to do with the fact that this hop matured "middle-early" in the growing season. . . . So Hallertauer Mittelfruh is a sub-variety of Hallertauer."

My suspicion is that using regular Hallertau hops is as close as you'll get, partially because of labeling and partially because they aren't being sold to homebrewers.

Hallertau Mittelfruh can be sourced by home brewers if you hit up the mighty Google but you should be fine with just purchasing German Hallertau hops. There *might* be a slight difference between the two but unnoticeable unless drank side by side.

Rebel Brewer is, I believe, a vendor here and they stock Hallertau Mittelfruh.
