Found this great hop chart with flavor/aroma profiles: http://hopschart.com/images/hopschart_render.jpg

However, despite offering a diverse range of hops, Mosaic is not included.

I noticed this on the TastyBrew recipe calculator as well. There's at least 25-30 different hops listed but Mosaic is not.

Why is this? Is it because it's relatively new?

Since it's derived from Simcoe and Nugget, do they serve as good comparisons?

It's too new, I think it's only about a year or 2 old. It's one of my favorite hops right now though.
What information are you trying to find out? I cant open the link at work.

Sorry, I used it all on an awesome American Wheat.
My bad...

Cheers! ;)

I just dry-hopped a brett saison with Mosaic. I've also had beers that have Mosaic in them.

It's a very piney and tropical-notes' smelling hop.

My next pale ale or IIPA will be all-mosaic.

I made an all(most) Mosaic AIPA, used it in the boil and dry hopped twice. I got a lot of pineapple, particularly in the nose, but still had some in the taste as well.

Thanks for the input. I have 3lbs of Mosaic that I have yet to try in any brews. I've been looking for a good recipe to put it to use, maybe even considering a SMaSH recipe to really see what these hops are about.

I hope you guys are right. I did an all Mosaic IPA and it's carbing now but what I got at kegging time wasn't as awesome as I expected so I'm hoping a few weeks on gas will make it shine.
I've used it already in 2 APA's as late additions and dry hopping and they were good.

FWIW, last pound of Mosaic I bought had this on the label, which I plugged into my Beersmith.

Alpha: 11.60 %
Beta: 3.40 %

Notes: As a daughter of Simcoe® YCR14, Mosaic offers a rich line of hop heritage including F-10 Tomahawk and Nugget. It features relatively high alpha acids and low cohumulone contents and displays an array of enticing aromas that transfer nicely into the finished product. Brewers have noted that Mosaic is a "complexity of flavors" providing a "powerful combination punch of pine and fruit." Specific descriptors include earthy, grassy, herbal, citrus, cedar, floral, pine, tropical, onion/garlic, spice and stone fruit.

I love Mosaic. It made a great hot day IPA. Nice and crisp. Piney and fruity at the same time. I added hops in the mash tun, at 60 min boil, 10 min boil, whirlpool, and dryhop. Came out great.

My next brew is a mosaic IPA. Another fan of the hop.
Plans are 60, 30, 10, 0, 4 day dry hop

My schedule is:

60, 10, 5, 0 - 7-day dry hop.

That's what almost all of my IPAs look like.
