Hello,
I will be brewing the following recipe in about a week
https://www.homebrewtalk.com/f70/honey-balz-spring-wheat-244476/
I have a couple questions about the honey addition. From reading around these threads it sounds like to keep the honey aroma and taste, adding a pound of honey at flame out or after about a week into fermentation is the best bet. So I was thinking I was going to boil the honey for 15 mins at 170 degrees, then bring it down to about 65 degrees and add it to the primary after about a week. Would I just dump this directly into the carboy, or do I need to stir it at all after adding it?
Would adding it at the week after primary be my best bet to retain the flavor/aromas?
Thanks!
