When to add cinnamon

I'm planning a Christmas ale and want to use ground cinnamon. When is the best time to add it -- at the end of the boil? After fermentation?

The few times I've added it, I added in the last 5 minutes of boil. Be very careful with it. It becomes overpowering very quickly.
