To each there own I say, but personally I like my hairy hubby the way he is... Of course if a well shaved Matthew McConaughey presented himself, I wouldn't be criticizing nothing!!
where ever Chuck Norris is, he just started crying.
I heard on TV (must be gospel) that now a days, the girls like hairy chested men...as long as their backs are hairles...WTF? Too picky.
I could grow a full beard at 14. Been wearing one since I was 23.
Exact same situation here. At 14 I felt a little weird about having full chest hair but that quickly turned into a DGAF attitude, just means you're more mature.
I'm kind of odd. Fairly hairy arms and legs and fairly smooth chest and back, except for a strip down the center of my chest.
I'm kind of curious about how women feel about... Down there, ya know? Smooth or hairy? I think I'm going to try shaving it. I've heard it makes your wee willy seem bigger, and I need all the help I can get!

Trim, no shave. Just shorten up the hair. Smooth shave is kinda creepy.
Homercidal said:How about a depilatory gel, like this one? Supposed to give a much smoother result. I'm kind of leery from reading the reviews, though...

I haven't shaved my face clean since I left the service and I only shaved it clean there for boot camp and after the rules changed in '87. I haven't shaved any other part of my body except forearms when sharpening knives. My wife is happy with the hair I got and just likes to me trim the beard and mustache a couple times a year so that when we swap spit like teenagers, she aint getting a mouthful of hair.
Another point, kind of off track maybe:
I don't understand guyliner, men's hairspray or hair gel. My sons do.
I don't use no smell goods - aftershaves, colognes and such and never have. My sons do. I use just plain old, unscented deoderant, not anti-perspirant. The way I sweat I'd be worried about it backing up if I couldn't perspire.
I don't use lotions, creams, skin softeners or anything like them and no lip balms. My sons do, one of them even shaves portions of himself - does this make them less 'manly'? I don't think so.
Does any this make me more 'manly'? No, I don't think so. I think it just makes me; me. And that's good enough.
