Ive just started brewing a wheat beer and wanted to add a lil citrus or lemon to it.. the guy at my LHBS told me to add the peel to the boil with 5 min left... is it okay to squeeze the lemon in there as well to add a little more citrus flavor??
Ive done it with the Zest (yellow outside) of the Lemons. the Pith(white part) is very very bitter and not alot of lemon flavor while the Zest on the other hand is very aromatic and will contribute to the flavor a bit better. as for the lemon juice, ive never used it but i havnt heard of anything wrong with it
