And then, as if out of nowhere, Biermuncher (a.k.a. The Voice of Reason apparently) shows up with the best idea yet. Props to you. Most of us have an opinion on this, and it's doubtful that it will get settled here.

There's a whole slew of n00bs out here wanting to know if their yeast is dead...if they should use bottled water...where they can secure a keggle...how can they up the alcohol...why their fermentation has stalled at 1.035 after 4 hours and of course my favorite...can I brew indoors? I'll take that one...

I'm guilty of telling them to search. However, I rarely just say, "Learn to use the search function!" I try to give some instructions on how to more effectively search, and I'll often post a link or two. I'd certainly like to have known a few tips and tricks to maximize search results when I was new here.
