Whats the OG of Coopers Canadian Blonde?

I got 1.030 with 3 lbs of muntions enhancer?

Yep i doubled checked both batchs i just put up and water from my tap. Sadly, the Canadian Blonde is only 1.030 with 3 lbs of muntons enhancer. Weird.

The brew canada red kit i used and put 3lbs of muntons is 1.050.

Both to 5gal.

I got a SG of 1.000 with the tap water.

That seems like an incorrect reading. I don't know what is in munton's enhancer, but I would have thought north of 1.040 would be ball park.

Oh, 5 US gallons would put it closer to 1.050.

I don't have the spreadsheet handy to get a better number.

Yeah i don't get it - i checked it 3x now. Its very disapponiting. All i can think is i did'nt stir it up good enough or the fact that my test jar has a piece broken near the top.

However, i get 1.00 with water and my other batch read 1.50.

I fired up the spreadsheet.
Just the Coopers Canadian blonde can (1.7 kg) will be 1.028 by itself in 19L (close enough to 5 gal US)

The enhancer is DME and dextrose and 1.054 is a reasonable expectation.

Yeah, i use brewers friend, thanks for the info/help. I checked it 5 or 6x now, same thing. My HBS is going too send me another one. Only thing we can think of, is it was a bad kit. Pretty rare he said. Nothing's perfect i guess.

I will be putting up another one tommorow just to see. I've only been doing sg readings for 5 or 6 batches, so i'm still little concerned it might be human error.

I'm going to get this as my next kit in a few days I'm thinking of using coopers enhancer 1 I'm from UK I will post my sg to see what I get

Yeah my hydro is fine. 1.046 today with the coopers bitter and some munton enhancer. I really need to get a better measurement system for my volumes. I was aiming for at least 1.050! Patience daniel son..
