Went to bottle my beer today and saw that there are some weird specs floating in it. Also there's some other substance floating around the edge but I'm assuming that's just yeast.

What are these specs? Is it ruined? Should I dump it?

Yes only 4 days in primary. I cleaned the primary with Diversol but I forgot to sanitize the primary with idophor, so I'm worried it's contaminated. Smells good though.

It's been in secondary for about 5 weeks though.

Don't dump it unless it tastes foul-- and not even then unless it has aged a few months and still tastes foul. That doesn't look all that bad, and I am going to guess it's just yeast.

Also, get that carboy somewhere dark, or it will reek of skunk spray! :)

I have the same in my English Brown Ale, I believe it's just suspended yeast and particles of grain. I'm not concerned, it tastes and smells good
