Hello,

I have a brew fermenting right now and it's been happily bubbling away for two days and I walked downstairs today and this is happening:

Is this just rigorous fermentation or do I have a larger issue?? I just thought it was weird how it's one bubble at a time and one right after another. It doesn't have the normal fermentation rapid bubbling.

What is going on and what should I do next?? My inclination is to not touch it and let it go. Just see if it settles down but I don't want the brew to be ruined either by leaving it.

oh snap dude! I've seen this before! Your beer got jacked by toxic slime mold! You gotta burn that thing right now dude! I'm talkin immediately, before that sh!t clones itself and infests your walls! It will eat the hell out of your pets.

Yeah be *extremely* careful when you do anything to that. Pulling the airlock, or trying to open the lid...just do it VEEEEERRRRRRYYY slowly and let the gas vent for a bit before trying anything sudden. Also, if you have any kind of blanket, towels, canvas, plastic sheets, etc. that you don't mind getting messy, try making yourself a shroud under, over, and around that thing to contain the mess.

I found the video youtube related to yours far more interesting:

Probably some yeast occurring there too. :( But you're right, much more interesting.

You have no problem here. Your beer is fermenting like a champ you just need a blow off. Did you happen to use any wheat in this beer as compared to others? My first beer with wheat caught me off guard with the krausen that formed.

My question is why are there three random videos on youtube titled 100 7131

sorry, just had to do it....it was bugging me.

and I just PLAIN HOPE that nobody want's to watch near-neked asian men doing that other dance! But, if they accidentally found that blow-off video....aggh nevermind.

I've had that happen, like everyone else said, carefully remove the airlock and replace it with a blow-off hose. You might want to lower the temperture a bit and slow the fermentation a bit.
