Beer Related Stuff:

-Complete kegging kit from my girlfriend (10lb C02, 5-gal corny, dual gauage regulator, the works)
-4-Pack Miller Chocolate Holiday beer from my sister
-4-Pack New Glarus Enigma beer from my sister
-1 single of a beer I cannot remember, but tasty, from my sister
-6-pack of a pepper flavored beer from my sister
-Paulner Hefeweisbeer stein from my sister

Dunno why, but I made out like a bandit this year from my family. I must've been a good boy. :D Yes, yes,rn. they made good by me as well, I was a good boy in retu:p :p

Merry Christmas to my fellow brewsmiths!

Brewed a Schwartzbier and got a humidor, console for the truck, and a rebuilt engine from myself!

Wild

brewed our traditional christmas eve stout, and received a bench capper (woot!), digital candy thermometer, and 'brewing like a monk'

Brewing related I got a subscription to BYO and North American Clone Brews. I also got a new Milwaukee Admirals jersey (or at least the promise of one when it comes in ,since SWMBO missed the cutoff by 1 day).
But mostly I got to watch my 18 month old daughter really enjoy the first Christmas she was old enough to understand.

The Christmas haul was minimal - in effect, SWMBO said that she wouldn't complain about all the $$ I've been dropping on brew-gear recently :D

The only brewing-related thing to come out of the holiday was a couple of hydrometers. BUT - they are old, old ones from my grandfather, who was a physician. Very small, very delicate. One only goes up to about 1040, the other to around 1060. But, they're cool. Looks like they were used to measure sugar content in the patient's urine, so they WILL need to be cleaned up even if they just make it to the display case.

Plus, it looks like they may have been manufactured in my hometown. One of them is labeled "Adams Midget Urinometer," the other "Adams Squibb Urinometer."

Just something quirky with some family history for the display case, along with the beer steins I never use.

EDIT: "Adams" refers to "Clay Adams," a manufacturer. It was also "Midget," not "Dwarf" (looks like that term refers to the fact it only reads up to 1045).

Brewing/Beer related:
2 cases of EZ-Cap swing tops that I put to use today 12/26/06.
MidwestSupplies.com Copper Ale Kit
Pack of 50 novelty beer coasters
Tin "Best Head in Town, Come to Lucky's Pub" Barsign
2 Brewing recipe books: "HomeBrewers Recipe Guide" by Higgins, Kilgore and "HomeBrew Favorites" by Lutzen, Stevens

I think I made out OK on the hobby side of it. :)

Other stuff I got includes the standard sweaters, cologne, watch, wallet, car-cleaning supplies/waxes, and a few Benjamins from the folks. :)

EDIT: I really like the first book mentioned above. A lot of extract recipes (which is my trade right now) of all types and about 30 pages of food recipes that all put to use a little brew. :)

Nothing brewing related, more beer related. My sister got me a Leinenkugel's variety 12-pack and my parents got me a Shiner Blonde t-shirt! Other than that, a new cell phone and some model railroad stuff from my girlfriend, money and lots of gift cards form everyone else!

I got a Lionel O-scale Pennsylvania Flyer train set for around the tree (long story) and three (3) kegs! I also received a few books about brewing and a couple GCs for the LHBS.

More importantly, I was in town for Christmas this year.

:)

I got an Intermediate brewing kit from midwest, "Homebrew Favorites" book, and FOUR extract kits! 1 nut brown ale, 1 robust porter, 1 coffee stout, and 1 Irish red.

Unfortunately working today so I'm patiently waiting getting home to hopefully start brewing my first batch ever!

Oh yeah, also got some socks, couple of books, new Bible, etc...

Good luck, let us know how it goes.

Here's my prezzie.

I didn't get any brewing related stuff, but I've been getting that myself all year! My wife did get me a nice new Craftsman roll-away tool chest :ban:, so my tools now have a nice home. There's so much room in it that I think some brewing equipment is going to find a place in there. My assortment of rubber stoppers and that kind of stuff.

Beer tree, jet washer for bottles, DVDs, T-shirts, boxers, books, various "stuff".
My daughter is two and a half so that was fun. My wife scored better than me, apparently I was in the room when we agreed not to buy much for each other. Several hundred dollars later and an hour of wrapping...

Game, set, and match. Beats the hell out of my ipod, which I'll never figure out how to use........

I wouldn't mind an iPod. Maybe I can talk my girlfriend into a trade....

Nah... not much of a chance of that happening. :(

Nothing in the brewing department. However it was compensated with some good stuff, most notably World Champion St. Louis Cardinal gear that SWMBO the cub fan actually bought for me. An excellent framed commemorative as well.

Of course her Dad took pity on her, being the poor cub fan that she is and got her something even I can appreciate. An awsome 6 foot long framed and signed panorama shot of Wrigley from the first night game there in '88. It's gonna look good in the drinking area. (aka the basement)

The kids made out like bandits of course.

All in all it was a good but exhausting day.

I mentioned these items to my wife but said that I'd wait until I got my year end bonus from work. I guess SWMBO thought that hell hadn't frozen yet so she got me a CrankandStein 3-roller mill, a new digital scale from Northern brewer, and a $100 gift card to Austin Homebrew Store. I'm brewing her another one of her favorite ciders this weekend and then it is fun with power tools building a hopper for the new mill. Wow, was I ever shocked.

That's funny...I was going to start building a hopper for my Crankandstein tonight, but I've had a couple glasses of Apfelwein so power tools probably aren't a good idea.

Hey alemonkey-

how are you going to do it? got any plans drawn up? i need to build one as well for my new crankandstein mill.

Perhaps we can get together, have a few pints and build a couple hoppers.

That'd be a good idea - I was looking at the plans that came with the mill and I'll probably just make something along those lines.

Plus, I'm anxious to play with my new power tools!

well, i will be damned. There were no instructions for building a hopper packaged up with my mill.:(

I got a fiancee. I proposed Christmas morning. Life is officially over lol! No date set yet.

Now you have an excuse to buy more beer equipment because you have to brew beer for your wedding reception. My friend had 6 kegs of homebrew at his. Or maybe it was 8. Never enough though.

I'll be driving to the LHBS in about 20 mins with two gift certificates in hand! Should be heating strike water by 1130-1145am CST!
