Just bought 1 lb of cascade and a 55 lb sack of Golden promise YUM. What to make what to make. I was thinking about something slightly more complex than a smash beer but close.
5.5 gallons into carboy
72% efficiency

12 lb golden promise
2 lb dark 10L munich
.5 lbs Carapils/dex
1.5 oz black patent

1 oz galena 60 min
1 oz cascade 10 min
2 oz cascade 5 min
1 oz cascade dry hop

Mash 156!? for the bod

This to me sounds like a deliciously malty american pale ale. I haven't brewed an IPA in 3 years :eek: What are your thoughts about the mash temp with such a malty grist. Also I was thinking Edinburgh Ale yeast but the only thing I know about it is what beersmith which makes it sound amazing, how is it in reality. thanks :ban:

I should say a pretty beefed up american IPA, suckers gonna be like 1.072
