I have a bunch of leftover grains and I'm wondering what I should brew them into:
About 2 lbs of 6 row
1/2 lb munich 6-8L
1/2 lb Breiss carapils 1.3L
1/2 lb Baird black patent 500-600L
1/2 lb Briess crystal 40L
1/2 lb Bairds chocolate 450-500L

Any suggestions for a recipe? I'm all ears! (Need not be confined to what's here, but I'd like to use up a bunch of it).

with 10lbs of 2 row you have a hell of a black IPA going there for you

Well, if you used all of that chocolate and black patent malt in the same batch, it would end up super dark. That is for sure.

Not sure I can much help for a recipe.

You could just brew those ingredients on their own and get a helluva dark mild that might end up below 3% (if you do a 5 gallon batch). Or you could do a mini-batch of just a gallon or two. Or you could add a bunch of base malt.

Yeah, I'm sure that is super helpful. You are welcome. :p

Well if you used everything you listed in a 2.5gallon batch you'd have a porter around 4-4.5%ABV not sure what hops you have that you'd throw in. But using that grain bill falls pretty much in the style guidelines of a dark lager/porter/stout excepting the color will be a lot darker for the lager an porter style.
