I just bottled my first batch of beer. I have a primary with all the yeast in it. Is there something i can do with it, other than throw it away?

Due to HBT acting screwey I can't do the search for you but look for the thread by deathbrewer I think, titled, "Yeast Washing Illustrated." Sorry I can't do it for you.

I watched a video on yeast washing somewhere. They used a large glass pickle jar initially. I have a bunch of quart mason jars but no larger ones. Do you think I could wash yeast in quart jars if I used a couple of extra steps to settle out?

I wash my yeast in quart mason jars then I transfer enough to put into at least 4 small jelly jars. I have 4 varieties I wash, Notty, Windsor, San Fran Lager and the yeast from Ommegang a trappist ale yeast most likely.

I rarely purchase yeast but I do have some packets of notty in the fridge, just in case.
