What to brew next?

Ugh.... I can't decide what to brew next. I have some ingredients and yeast for a oatmeal stout. I have some crystal 120,60, aromatic, flaked oatmeal, cara pils, some barley, and some other stuff. I can't decide on what to brew though. I'm thinking of trying to make the pliney the elder clone. I need to get the hops. I have a pound of Columbus. I just need to get the other stuff......also a guy in my homebrew made the best black ipa I have ever tasted. I'm dying here. Someone tell me a great recipe to make. Oh yeah I ship out for the military in 3 months. I'll be away from home for 6 months so I need something to sit for 6 months while I'm away

Don't do a pliney clone then. its best fresh, as most IPAs are. aging won't really help it.

I'd suggest a big stout, old ale, or wee heavy that would do well to get some age on it.

better yet, brew up an IPA that will be ready in a month, and drink that before you go; at the same time, brew up the big beer, and set it aside to age! best of both worlds!

I agree do both. I would do a barley wine if its gonna sit for a while

thats what im thinking. I will probably do 2 more brews to drink with my buddies before i leave and i am trying to figure out a great recipe i can let sit while im away.
