What size holes do I drill for taps?

I'm building a keezer with a collar and need to know what size hikes to drill for the taps. I have the actual taps but not the backs, hence I'm not sure of the hole size.

I used a 1" holesaw for mine. Protip if like me you've never used a holesaw....drill until you see the drill bit come through the other side, pull it out, and flip it. You get a cleaner hole, and more importantly, the wood doesn't get stuck in your holesaw bit!
