what size co2 tank. i'm starting with one corney ... and eventually moving to tow, maybe 3 ... but probably not. so ... home many kegs would a 2.5# or a 5# tank last?

+1 on multiple tanks- I originally had 2 20# tanks I got for free, and then purchased a 5# so I could put it in my fridge. Weird hours and hassle of getting filled sometimes at my local gas place, I have tanks external. Probably sell one at some point, but definitely keeping two tanks on hand!

Yep,
I always try to keep a spare tank around. Mine always seems to run out on Saturday around 4 o'clock. It's worth the investment.

If space is not an issue, get at least a 10 pounder. I think it was something like only $15 more when I bought mine (a second to go with my 5#). At my filling place, most of the cost is labor. It costs less than $2 more to fill the 10 vs. the 5. A couple refills and the extra cost of the larger tank is paid off

two refills at 10 lb is approx. $30

four refills at 5 lb is approx $52

Biggest one you can afford/have room for. Filling a 20 pounder is not that much more then filling a 5 pounder.

$10 for 5#
$14 for 20#

Bigger is more economical, as posted above- most goes to work involved in hooking it up, purging airlines/tank if needed, then standing their while it fills.
