How about a beer name? Sparge, Porter, or off the wall like Chinook.

Oh, those weren't choices.

Shane or Conner then. Unless you decide on McKBrew.

Anything family heritage related?

Our oldest is named Evan (not Evan! :p) because we have a bunch of Johns in the family, and Evan is welsh for John. It was a Cadfael thing.

I voted Ronan, But I also like Bryce which I don't know will be over used for his generation. Alos like Weston, but would hate to be named Wes.

Billy. He'll be a little boy at one point and the name Billy would be perfect. All little boys should be named Billy.

Sorry if its a family name, but I voted Quinlan because its the worst one, and you are a completely anonymous stranger.

We named our son Liam, he's six now and at the time it wasn't a popular name- it sure is now! I'd go for Shane, I've heard all the others a LOT. Plus, Shane is a fantastic movie.

See, I was voted down on my insanely-spelled Gaelic names- Reoraigh, Eachtighearn, Mac-a'bhiadhtaiche, etc.

This is one of the hardest decisions ever. Sometimes it helps to look at them. Squishy and all when they come out, but you get some sense of personality still. You have a good 24 hours to settle. Really until you decide to leave the hospital, or if you do homebirth maybe a week or two.

Just don't name him something that's popular because of a recent movie/celeb/etc. I'm sure it'll suck for all those kids named Jayden in another couple years when they're 1 of 5 Jaydens in the same class (thank you Brittney Spears)

I've always wanted to name something Fontelroy. I'm sure there's a more elegant way to spell it, but I think it's a nice name.

Possibly more fitting for a dog, but still a nice name. It sounds stoic, I think. But, alas, not on your list...

Anything but Hayden, Grayden, Layden, Flayden, Aiden, mother ****ing Gayden...

We have one on the way...if it's a boy, the middle name is Ulysses. Other than that, it is my wife's decision.

She isn't too keen on Satchel...I want his first name to be Satchel...Satchel...yeah sucka! Satchel.

SATCHEL! DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

I hate "last names" that are used as first names... such as "Mason". That's a last name (or perhaps a profession). The same holds true for "Hunter". Therefore, I suggest skipping the following:

Ryder
Tyler
Connor
Quinlan
Weston
Ronan

Just my opinion...

Popular names can be a real pain. In my grade-school class, there were 8 boys: 3 Davids, 3 Toms and Bryan and a George. Another consideration, does the name have a 'good' diminutive? Dave is okay, but since that was the era of the Davy Crockette on TV, it got nasty way too often.

Looks like Liam is winning. That is my sons name. Getting more popular but a cool name. We used all L's for our sons, Liam, Layne, Lindon. I always wanted Lars but wifey wouldn't go for it.

I like Conor, that's what I named my son. We spelled it "Conor" instead of "Connor for two reasons 1)The Irish way to spell it 2) That was Eric Clapton's son's name.

I picked Ronan, but it should be Ronin :

Now someone come up with girl names. I'll need one in 2 months. Right now it's a toss up between Paige, Zoe and Mia.
