Pitched yeast (Lavlin EC1118) on my 1G of juice (SG 1.050) this last Saturday. It went from clear to orange, bubbling about 3 times a second, then looked like the cloudy juice that you can buy. Now It's settled down to a bubble every 30seconds or so. It's now the same colour as when it started, looks like it should be clear, but I can't see through the bottle.
When Cider clears, SHOULD I be able to see through the bottle?
I was thinking of racking to secondary 8 weeks after pitching, given what I have just explained, does this still sound feasible or should I look at doing it earlier?

when it is really clear in 6 to 15 weeks it will be ultra clear and you can read through it.

The best thing to do is leave it alone for the 8 weeks you mentioned. Then decide on racking or not. Either way don't bottle it for at least 12 weeks even if it is clear and then only if you get the same reading (SG) twice in 3 days.

When cider clears completely, you can see through it. It may be clear enough at 4 weeks but it's not going to hurt if you leave it 8 weeks. I like to bulk age my cider quite a while so I'm never in much of a hurry to move them.
