What kind of keg?

I came across these on Craigslist and I have not seen a corny keg with a cable coming out of it person before. I found a couple of threads here and there showing onet but I have no idea what this would have been used for. The person selling it is the brother of someone who passed away so they have no knowledge of its use or even what it is so I'm not sure what it's past life might have been and then slightly hesitant about buying for beer.

Thoughts?

Doesn’t the label next to the wire say level sensor? Can’t say I’ve seen that before though. It could also see it be used for a thermowell if someone were to format in it.

I think it does, the picture is not great but I didn't want to be too pushy with the seller.
